She is survived by: her sibling Brigid Boyle; and her sister-in-law Monica Mahon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins and dear friends.

“Before she was my principal at OLPH she was a counselor. After my Dad died ii began to see her in her office at the Convent. Perhaps it was through the counseling that I had the opportunity to know her before she became principal that allowed me to have such a good relationship with her. She was a principal who expected nothing less than your best friend and pushed me to be a better student and person. I’m forever thankful for the times spent with her. Rest In Peace Ms. Mahon”

“Miss Mahon was my principal in OLPH in the early 80s. Impeccably dressed. Perfect hair and nails. Her perfume would stop every child who went there in our tracks today. She had the highest of expectations for each of us. She expected and demanded better. I didn't realize it at the time but her expecting the best pushed us to deliver, which then pushed us to expect more from ourselves. She raised the bar for a whole generation of kids in So Ozone Park/Richmond Hill. God Bless you Miss Mahon.”
