“I’m sorry to learn of Kevin’s passing. He was a good and decent man. We grew up together in Rosedale, Queens. As a matter of fact, on April 1, 1967 ( April Fools Day ) Kevin passed my house on the way to the bus stop to take the walk-in exam for the NYPD at Jamaica HS and since he had an extra pencil, I went with him and on June 23, 1967 I started my career in the NYPD.. So Kevin was responsible for me joining the NYPD, the greatest bunch of people in the world, just like Kev.”
