It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas S. Meinhofer of Wantagh, New York, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Peter (Melissa), Lisa Ellis (Rob) and Margot Harris (Adam); and his grandchildren, Nick, Max and Callie.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home (3863 Merrick Rd, Seaford, NY 11783). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park.
