He was predeceased by: his brothers, Raymond, LeRoy and Gerald; and his parents, Herbert and Ruth (Waite).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Thorp; his sons, Robert, Mark, Timothy and Brian; his grandchildren, Jacob (Kayla), Joshua (Claire), Rebekah and Haley; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Bennet and Lincoln; and his siblings, Donald, Dorothy, Richard, Diana, Faith and Doug.
