He was predeceased by: his parents, James Theodore Gay and Carrie Lee Taylor; his siblings, Channie Gay, Wilma Grace Wilder, Kenneth Gay, Bob Gay and Sahara Gay; and his children, James Rogers, Randie El-Amin and Angela Gay.
He is survived by: his children, Beryl Patterson, Jason Rogers (Bobbie), Tina Bosma (Tony) and Sahara Lupo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
