He is survived by: his significant other Diane Balog; his significant other's sons, Justin Balog (Kristine), Todd Balog (Amy), Zachary Balog (Jimena) and Jared Balog (Erica); his daughter Ellen Castro (Justin) of Pleasant Valley; his sisters, Rachel Magnanini (Richard) of Wallkill and Caroline Byrne (Ed) of Wallkill; his granddaughter Elizabeth Casey; his nephews, Robert Magnanini, David Magnanini and John Byrne; and his great-nieces, Abigail, Hannah and Grace Magnanini.
