He is survived by: his parent Janet Veenstra Aukema; his wife Sharon Quirk Aukema; his daughters, Christine Hoell (Joseph) of Modena and Danielle Wilkie; his husband Christopher of Wallkill; and his grandchildren, Bradley, Jeffrey, Christopher Wilkie, Daniel, Kelly and Sara Hoell.
