He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Serena Hopkins (Wade); his wife Shirley Jeanette Moshinskie (Sutton); his son David Joseph Moshinskie; and his siblings, Dorothy, Robert, Russell, John, Roy, Elmer, Wesley and Calvin Hopkins.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Rumsey of Wallkill, NY, Andrea Moshinskie-Fuller of Oklahoma City, OK, Leo Nelli of Mobile, AL and Ernest Hopkins II; his grandchildren, Cheral Rumsey of Wallkill, NY, Frank Rumsey of New Paltz, NY, Carrie, Nickie Fuller of Oklahoma City, OK, David Joseph, Michael Moshinskie, Kristin, Leo, Lauren and Robert Nelli; his great grandchild Jillian Marie Rumsey of New Paltz, NY; and his pet Babe. He is also survived by children, animals, birds.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Ernie's name be made to his home address for his beloved dog, Babe.
