He is survived by: his spouse Puerto Rico; his children, Leonardo Melendez (Evelyn) of Wallkill, Luis Angel Melendez of Queens, NY and Berna Melendez-Guzman (Juan Guzman); his grandchildren, Victor, Michael, Crystal, Juan, Benjamin and Gabriel; and his great grandchild Phoenix. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
