He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Louis Kramer and Helen Schoen Kramer; his son-in-law Douglas Ley; and his siblings, Janet McHugh (Kramer) and James Kramer.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Kramer-Ley; his grandsons, Max Ley and Desmond Ley; his brother Kenneth Kramer (Gloria Nichols); and his nephews, Frank and Brad. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
