He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Mehl and Gladys Mehl; his brother George; his brother-in-law Edward; and his granddaughter Heidi Mehl.
He is survived by: his children, Leon Mehl Jr. (Sue) of Walden, NY, Arnold Mehl (Eva) of New Windsor, NY and Carol Mehl-Duke (Dennis) of Wallkill, NY.; his sister Eileen Menendez of Walden, NY; his grandchildren, Leon III, Joe, Brianna and Zachary; his niece Melissa Mendendez; and his great grandchildren, Aryanna Baker and Ryker DeJesus-Martinez.
