He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nemia and Caterina Caracciola; and his granddaughter Mary Catherine. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Nemia; his children, Catherine Rose Nemia-Leudesdorff, Susan Rose Nemia-Sokolowski (Steve), Francis J. Nemia (Patricia), Joseph F. Nemia (Lynn) and Thomas J. Nemia (Linda); and his grandchildren, Francis, Matthew, Joseph, Peter, James and Elizabeth Rose. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home (39 Orchard St, Walden, NY 12586). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Most Precious Blood (42 Walnut St, Walden, NY 12586). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John's Cemetery (80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379).
