She was predeceased by: her sister Debbie Figueroa; and her father John Jerome. She is survived by: her mother Carol Bauer; her stepfather Donald Bauer; and her brothers, Bill and Brian Bauer.

In lieu of flowers, Denise would like donations to the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at The Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
