He was predeceased by : his parents, Lewis and Caroline; his sisters, Doris Ubbine (Howie) and Shirley Wagner; and his niece Lynn (Gail).

He is survived by : his children, Cynthia, Rolfe Newton, Dan Czadzeck (Sheila), Karen Bremer (Brian), Connie Moore (Dan), Alicia Armer (Matt) and Charlene DeSanto (Nick); his siblings, Roger, Donald, Joan Gertner and Bev Years; and also Harold Young. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
