He is survived by: his wife Susan Van Vessem Tufts; his sisters, Denyse Blaney (Patrick), Janice Mutschler (Leonard) and Deborah Mark (John); his stepdaughters, Maureen Wedgwood, Bethany Hardaway (Elroy) and Abigail Vaillancourt; his mother-in-law Harriet Van Vessem; his in-laws, Christopher Van Vessem (Terry), Timothy Van Vessem (Christine), Anne McGuire and Matthew Van Vessem (Rebecca Thompson); his stepmother-in-law Bonnie Van Vessem; his grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney and Gabrielle; his pet Daisy; and also, Maureen, Bethany, Abigail, Nisse, Daniel Green and Brianne Raes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and friends.
