He was predeceased by : his parents, Bob McCarthy and Kay McCarthy; his siblings, John McCarthy and Mary Kelley; and his children, Rob, Patrick and Meghan.

He is survived by : his wife Polly; his sons, Jim (Karen) and Dan (Samantha); his daughter-in-law Katie (Tim); and his grandchildren, Finn, Liam, Sean and Bridie McCarthy.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mary Magdalene Church (1008 Main St, East Rochester, NY 14445).
