Rob Licht wrote a sympathy message

“Even though I met Dede late in her life, I could sense the richness of the life she lived. Her presence is everywhere— in the lives of all that she touched, and in the objects she curated. I am so grateful to have known and to have shared many warm moments with her. My deepest condolences to the entire family who has lost not only a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved matriarch, but a piece of the thread that weaves generations together.”
