It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy V. Kondolf (Victor, New York), born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on November 3, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, August VanCaeseele and Martha VanCaeseele; her husband Robert Guinan; her siblings, Elizabeth Brady and Richard VanCaeseele; her nephew Paul Brady; and her great-nephew Mathias Kondolf.

She is survived by : her former life partner Richard Kondolf; her children, Jenny, Mike, Jennifer Duba (Joe) and James Kondolf (Beverly); her stepdaughter Ann Dunham (Donald); and her grandchildren, Scarlet Duba, Jasper Duba (Layne), Kate Kondolf, Carly Gepfrey (Chad), Angel Collazo (Kelly), Kirstin Teall and Hannah Kondolf. She is also survived by 4 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her much-loved nieces.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association or Canandaigua Emergency Squad (233 North Pearl St. Canandaigua, NY 14424) in her memory.

“Even though I met Dede late in her life, I could sense the richness of the life she lived. Her presence is everywhere— in the lives of all that she touched, and in the objects she curated. I am so grateful to have known and to have shared many warm moments with her.
