He was predeceased by: his son Todd Overfield; his parents, Donald H. Overfield, Sr. and Maxine Norrison; and his brother John Overfield. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Overfield; his daughter Wendy Williams (Rodney); his stepchildren, Maureen, Thomas and Matthew Chaffer; his grandchildren, Aaron Overfield, Allyn Fischer (Warren), Aidan Overfield, Michael Fader and Tanner Williams; his great grandchild Easton Overfield; his sister Lucille Irons; and his sister-in-law Linda Overfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
