Charles left this world on September 13, 2024 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nientimp and Georgiana Nientimp; his wife Dale M. Scottow-Nientimp; and his siblings, George Nientimp (Eleanore), Gerald Nientimp (Babe), Helen Miller (Richard) and Marion Duke (Aaron).

He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Caton (Matthew), Jennifer Sauter (David) and Christine Baumgartner (Rodney); his stepchildren, Penny Wasnock-Toal (David) and Mark Wasnock (Marie); his grandchildren, Benjamin M. Caton, Hope A. Caton, Tyler J. Wheaton (Emily), Alyson M. Strickland (Conner), Molly K. Sauter, Collin D. Sauter, Joseph L. Fisher, Reina E. Wasnock, Seiya A. Wasnock and Mia U. Wasnock; and his close friend Corky Trombley. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (95 N Main St, Canandaigua, NY 14424).
