He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hovancik and Florence Hovancik; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Jenny Scott; and his daughter-in-law Bruna Hovancik.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hovancik; his children, Norbert Jr., Christopher, Joseph, Richard, Florence and Nicholas; his daughters-in-law, Karen, Julie, Melanie, April Hovancik and Holley Angel; his grandchildren, Brooke, David, Dayna, Joel, Donovan Burgher, Hailey, Anthony, Hunter, Britany and Harper; his great grandchildren, Layla, Maya and Jackson; his siblings, Andrew (Yvonne), Gerald Hovancik (Mary) and Carol Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Amedeo and Anthony Scott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family is asking for donations to be made in Norbert's memory to the Mercy House in Endicott, NY in lieu of flowers.
