He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his parents, Hermana Desjardins and Joseph E. Carriere; his sister Dorothy Fuller; his daughter Yvonne Brodsky; and his granddaughter Deborah David.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Racette (Richard) and Edmond Carriere (Doris); and his significant other Winnifred Fegan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
