With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Shear (Vestal, New York), who passed away on September 16, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Shear to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband William W. Shear; her parents, Nancy Spawn and Eugene Spawn; her parents-in-law, Lillian and William H. Shear; her brothers, Robert (Alice Spawn) and Lester (Helen Shear); and her nephews, Robert and Nicholas Spawn.

She is survived by: her children, Bill (Jan Shear), Terry (Marsha Shear), Richard (Susan Shear) and Nancy; her son-in-law Jeffrey Hambalek; and her great grandchildren, Shaun, Dylan Holyfield, Camryn, Dominic Hills, Alexis, Isabella Herceg, William, Alison Houle and Madison Rougier. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be adhered to.

In lieu of flowers, donations to her church, Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in her memory are requested.
