He was predeceased by: his wife Helen (Swierkosz); and his parents, Charles L. Sax and Mary Dorothy Sax (Mangan). He is survived by: his children, Dr. Christina Sax, Vickie Sax of Vestal, NY, Kevin Sax and Kelley Sax-Francis of Binghamton, NY; his sons-in-law, John Francis and Michael Ryan; his sister Mary; his brother-in-law Al Marean; his granddaughter Elizabeth Gould (Peter Gould); his great grandchild Daisy Mae Gould; and his nieces and nephews, David Swierkosz, Maria (Swierkosz), Jerry Motsavage, Dr. Joy Marean Hickey, John Hickey, Elizabeth, Mary (Marean), Stephen, Patrick and Colin McGovern. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations in Charlie's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
