We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2020, Carolyn L. O'Connell (Vestal, New York), born in Johnson City, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas; her parents, Dr. Harold and Mary McCarthy Leonard; her sisters, Dolores Bartholomew and Mary Ethel Mahoney; and her siblings-in-law, Edward Mahoney, Mary Laury O'Connell, Marilyn O'Connell McGlynn and John F. McGlynn.
She is survived by: her sister Lorna Leonard; her brothers-in-law, Robert Walters and James O'Connell; her children, Maureen Nieves (Nelson), Joseph O'Connell (Sandra), Kathleen Farrell (Patrick) and Margaret Smith (Dennis); and her grandchildren, Brittany Toliver (Josh), Zachary Phillips, Lindsay Phillips, Meghan Ashman (Jeff), Kaitlin Parker (Keith), Alexander Leone and Brian Leone. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Carolyn's honor to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church, 165 Clifton Blvd., Vestal, NY 13850.
