He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John McGuire and Jane McGuire (Mitchell); his children, Catherine and Joseph (Dina); his grandchildren, William, Jason and James; his great grandchildren, Madison, Joseph, McKenzie, William, Nicholas, Memphis and Hudson; and his wife Frances. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
