With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Bowers Jr. (Verona, New York), born in Rome, New York, who passed away on March 2, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Bowers and Ingrid Carlson Bowers; and his sisters, Helen (Orrin Hill) and Jeanette (Joseph Ferraro). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte M. Evans; his children, Karen Esser O'Dell (Richard), Kathy Green Scott and Keith Bowers (Wendy); his grandchildren, Kristen Wilczek (Waylan), Cassandra Esser, Zachary Esser, Ryan Bowers, Alyssa Bowers, Michael Green (Catherine) and Kendra Green; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Kaylan, Charlotte, Caleb, Wyatt and Adalynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, the Westmoreland Historical Society, or the Westmoreland Community Pool.
