With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert G. Winnie of Verona Beach, New York, born in Chittenango, New York, who passed away on November 17, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Winnie and Natalie Winnie (Hall); and his siblings, Kenneth Winnie, Donald Winnie, Genevieve Winnie and Ruth Winnie.
He is survived by: his pets, Snowball, Everest and Scrappy Doo; his wife Bertha E. Durst; his daughter Teaija Winnie of Verona Beach; his grandsons, Austin Avery Gaut, Logan Riley Gaut and Branden Lee Gaut; his sister Elizabeth Smith of Cathartin, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Doreen Hull, Vickey Zwall, Julie Will, Robin Augustine, Alfred II and Sahar Smith.
In his memory, contributions may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 227 Loucks Street, Oneida, NY 13421, with envelops available at the funeral home.
