It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis J. Jones (Vernon, New York), born in Scriba, New York, who passed away on March 23, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlyn Himes and Mildred Himes; her husband Richard; her sisters, Irene LaVigne and Celia Peryea; and her grandson Douglas Wimmer.
She is survived by: her children, David (Carol) of Canastota, Robert (Patricia) of Canastota, Eileen Wimmer (Michael) of Canastota and Ruth Murphy (Allen) of Elmira; and her siblings, Simeon Himes of North Carolina, Bernice Peryea of Syracuse and Doris Hines of Florida. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
