He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francesco Castrogiovanni and Italia Castrogiovanni; his wife Louise; his children, Gregory Castro (Natalie) and Linda Castro (John Brokaw); and his grandchildren, George, Julie and Gina.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
