He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine A. Walters and Spencer A. Corcoran; his brothers, Francis and Eugene Corcoran; and his nephews, Patrick, Timothy and John Corcoran.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy (Dennis Boger) of Charlotte, N. C. and Robin; his son-in-law James Zakala of Rome; and his sons, Joseph Corcoran of Rome and Scott Corcoran of Sherrill. He is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.
