She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin Leahy and Agnes Leahy; her siblings, Lawrence and Linda Hayer; her son James Kevin; and her grandson Kevin James.

She is survived by: her husband Vernon F. Gokey; her children, Vernon Jr. (Christine) of Yellville, AR, Diane Brown (Ron) of Potsdam, NY, Chad (Joan) of Stockholm, NY, Cynthia Cowles (Nicholas) of Shelburne, VT and Robin Van Ess (Len) of Brushton, NY.; her grandchildren, Scott Gokey (Nikki), Joseph Eldridge Keegan Comins (Sandra), Joshua Brown (Kristin), Tanya Mancerella (Craig), Amber Ehrenfeld (Jessica), Dylan Cowles, Moriah Cowles (Abe), David Prosper (Jasmine) and Zack Prosper (Jennifer); and her brother Austin (Joyce) of Lady Lake. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
