He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edwin and Doris M. Reardon McCallum; his sister Barbara Spencer; his grandson James Matthew Petersen; and his son-in-law Mark O. Petersen.
He is survived by: his fiancée Carolyn Putnam of Varysburg; his fiancée's children, Tracy Matteson (Karie) of Massachusettes, Shawn Putnam (Pamela) and Ryan Putnam (Kim); his daughter Annette Petersen of Manassas, VA; his sister Jean Ernst (Milton) of Florida; his grandchildren, Joshua M. Petersen (Kenalyn) of Wisconsin, Michael Petersen of Utah, Emily Andersen (Alex) of Idaho, Andrew J. Petersen (Krystina) of Utah, Jeremiah of Utah and Jenny L. Petersen of Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Julie, Renee, Kate, Callie, Hailey and McKenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
