He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Voorheis and Betty Voorheis; his granddaughter Christina; and his siblings, Edwin "Buck", James, Jeanie Pike and Carol Osborne.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Vincent of Lodi, Ernest of Valois, Joanna Clark (Mark) of Alpine and Kurtis (Dawn Potts) of Lodi; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle, Michelle, Derek, Ernie Jr., Laura and Ashley; and his siblings, Theodore Herforth, Gail Mazourek (Adolph Bussey) and Linda Abbott. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
