She is survived by: her husband Mario; her daughters, Josephine (Paul) and Laurie (Johnny); her grandchildren, Dylan, Kayla and Marissa; her sisters, Annita (Leonardo) and Francesca (Gaspare); and her sister-in-law Jackie.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lieber Funeral Home (266 N Central Ave, Valley Stream, NY 11580). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mary Church (55 E Jamaica Ave, Valley Stream, NY 11580). An entombment was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Maria Verga to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer.
