He was predeceased by: his parents, Karthiyayaniamma Pillai and Narayana Pillai. He is survived by: his wife Santhamma Nair; and his children, Sindhu, Santosh and Satheesh Nair. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
