Coleen Fay Obituary
Coleen Marie Fay passed away unexpectedly Christmas morning at her home in Valley Cottage. Her valiant battle with cancer showed her courage in facing life challenges with grace and an amazing positive attitude. Despite the pain, Col remained a warrior and stayed strong to the end. She was 63.
Coleen grew up in Nyack, attending St. Ann's, Nyack HS and RCC. A mom, first and foremost, she adored Ryan and Tyler, never missing an opportunity to tell how proud she was of them both. After many years of working as an account manager for AllCare in Nyack, and then staying home to raise her boys, she found her calling in the classroom. Her work at BOCES and Valley Cottage Elementary endeared her to many students, families and colleagues. Coleen had a love of all things social, celebrating with friends and family, vacationing at the shore, enjoying creating memories and sharing time with those she loved. She was extremely funny, fiercely loyal and the go to person for anything needed. Col leaves us a legacy of strength, laughter, love, friendship and perseverance.
Coleen is celebrated by her husband of 31 years, Dennis; her two most loved pride and joys, Ryan and Tyler; Mom and Dad in laws, Trudi and Red Fay; Pam and Buddy Matott; Jack and Janine Brown; Paul, Juliette, Naomi and Greg Fay; all of their beautiful children; aunts, cousins and many dear friends.
Remember our Coleen with laughter, kindness and with love. She will be missed.
A memorial mass will be planned for a later date.
