She was predeceased by: her mother Lula Mae Phillips; her husband Ransom Brown; her brother Clement Hervey; her sister-in-law Delores Hervey; her nephew Walter Lee Hervey, Jr.; her niece Bessie Lee Gooch; her sister Essie Johnson; and her pet Coco.
She is survived by: her husband's son Michael James Brown; her son Michael James Brown (Addie McVay-Brown) of New York; her grandchildren, Jasmine and Joshua; her siblings, Bessie Mae Gooch, Walter Lee Hervey, Sr. of Utica, Eddie Sanders (Ruth) of Southfield, MI, Leonard Sanders (Johnella) of Detroit, MI and Eva Sanders-Cook of Water Valley, MS.; and her caregiver Liberta Hammett (Clinton John Hammett, Sr.). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
