He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Elthera Singleton; his child But; his grandfather Poppop'; his wife Erin; his children, Kevin, Monique, Quiana and Sheila; his grandchildren, James and Ciecie; his siblings, Eloise Carter, Bernice Chestnut, Kenny Carter, Ray Charles Carter (Keeba), Dale Carter (Leslie) and Josephine Carter; his parents-in-law, Nancy Cain, Don, John and Lisa Cain; his friends, Joe and Maria of New Jersey; his siblings, Ivory Carter, J. W. Carter, Jacqueline Williams, Tom Smith and Joe Dabney; his father-in-law Jack Cain; and also, William Jr., Chappell, Sedonia, Leslie, Clara Mae and Lemans. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and he also leaves his cousins.
