It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa J. (Martelli) Sportelli (Utica, New York), who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph A. Martelli and Rose J. Martelli (Brigano); her parents-in-law, Vito J. "Vic" and Palma Rose Sportelli (Convertino); and her siblings-in-law, Angelo D. Sportelli, Vita and Joseph D. Brigano.
She is survived by: her son Vito J.; her daughter-in-law Donna G. Sportelli; her son Ralph A. Sportelli; her grandson Patrick F. (Michelle Sportelli); her great grandchildren, Sophia Sportelli and Joseph Sportelli; her siblings, Angela Paolozzi (late Joseph A. Paolozzi, Jr.) and Dominick F.; her sister-in-law Kathleen Martelli; her sister Ellena M.; her brother-in-law Norman H. Snogles, Jr.; and her close friends, Rose Marie Chiffy, Terri Panuccio, Rose Bucciero, Sam and Ellie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. (932 South St, Utica, NY 13501). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish (684 Jay St, Utica, NY 13501).
