It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Hymon of Utica, New York, who passed away on April 4, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eliza Phillips and Richardson; and her siblings, Walter, Ulysee, John, Willie "Bill" Phillips, Loretta Hatter and Marguerite E. Phillips (Lindsey McCants).
She is survived by: her friends, Gwen, Linda, Doreen, Angela and Luberta; her husband Norris "Tank" Hymon; her son Jerome; her daughter-in-law Chantelle Allen; her grandchildren, DeQuan Jefferson, Marcus and McKenna Allen; her great grandchildren, Kamari Matthews, Rhay, Jon Smith and Jayla Cummings; and her pet Max. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
