He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Rinaldi; his brother Leo Simon; and his friends, William Macartney III and Bernard Turi. He is survived by: his son Samuel J. Jr.; his daughter-in-law Patricia Simon; his grandchildren, Samuel J. III, Ava Simon and Marisa Taurisani (Simon); his great grandchildren, Samuel David Simon, Luke Raymond Taurisani and Jonathan James Simon; his great-niece LeAnn Ramey-Martinez (Luis Martinez); his nieces and nephews, Karen, Dennis Wrate, Robert and Donna Rosato; his friends, Elaine, Joseph Furgol and Antoinette "Toni" Turi; his family, Annie, Missy, Jackie, Cal, Mike, Jim, Bart and Mark; and also, Grace Anne, David Guski, Judy and Randy Crouse.
