He was predeceased by: his parent Lois Smith; his grandson Jonathan VanSanford; his nephew Ambrose Smith III; and his brother Darrin Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Dulan; his daughters, Natasha VanSanford (Brandon) of Herkimer and Jacqueline Smith (Kayla Critser) of Utica; his grandchildren, Kahlan and Keegan VanSanford; his daughter Lorraine Pryor; and his siblings, Ambrose Smith of Oswego, Thomas Smith (Clare) of Florida, Edward Smith (Roseanne) of Utica and Elizabeth Arcuri (Rob) of Boonville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.
