He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Hughes and Violet Hughes (Lalonde); his wife Peggy (Peggy); his father-in-law Frank Schmadel; his stepfather Leo Siegwart; and his close friend Jimmy Lyness.
He is survived by: his children, Katherine Davis and Thomas Hughes (Frances); his grandchildren, Thomas Davis (TJ) and Katelyn Davis; his siblings, Stanley Hughes (JoAnne), Linda Maggio (Phil), Carol Matiak and Jacqueline Ganim (Gregory); and his mother-in-law Monica Schmadel. He is also survived by several other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
