The memory of Richard D. Hardy of Utica, New York, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Richard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Richard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Hardy and Elizabeth Hardy (Estabrook); his wife Gail P. Waelde; his brothers, Thomas Hardy and John Hardy; his half-brother Steve Hardy; his sister Anne Hardy (Nan); and his half-brother Bob Hardy. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Utica City Church (932 Rutger St, Utica, NY 13501). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
