It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Reginald Harold Holmes (Utica, New York), who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett T. Holmes and Esther Holmes; his wife Dorothea Holmes; and his siblings, Arlene Bellamy, Warren Holmes, Shelia King, Ralph Holmes and Robert Holmes.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Diane Ciccone (Daryl McMillian) of New Jersey; his stepgrandchild Kali McMillian of London, England; his stepson James Ciccone; his stepgranddaughters, Cynthia and Chloe; his son Vicenzo; his grandsons, Princeton and CJ of New Jersey; his sisters, Juanita Bass of Frankfort, Leona Booth of Rochester, Dolores Gaston of Utica and Deborah Getman of Utica; and his close friend Tinky. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a host of special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors (470 French Rd, Utica, NY 13502). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Everett Holmes Scholarship Fund, Mount Markham Central Schools, West Winfield, NY.
