She was predeceased by: her parents, Foy Martin and Bessie Martin (Brown); her son-in-law Eugene Dancy; her brother William; her sister-in-law Julia Brown; and her close friends, Ann Berry and Mildred Burke.

She is survived by: her children, Rachel and William Brown; her granddaughter Robbie; her husband George Hamlett; her daughter Robbie Jean Dancy (James Brantly); her grandchildren, Adrienne, Monoleto Wilborn, David Dancy and Hilda Lowenstein; her great grandchildren, Elijah Wilborn and Indira Wilborn; her grandson Barry Dancy; her daughters, Desrey and Natasha; her nieces and nephews, Andrea, Dean Westfal, William Brown Jr., Jackie Womack and Carrie Wright; her caregiver Practitioner; and also, Jayhili, Jaeron, Jaceon, Jurrell and Jarius.
