With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter S. Palewski (Utica, New York), who passed away on April 4, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Utica Peace Justice and Mary Palewski (Cudilo); his sisters, Mary Louise Palewski and Elizabeth Wellington of New Hartford; and his daughter Megan.

He is survived by: his sons, Paul Christopher of San Francisco, Andrew Richard of Philadelphia and Craig Smith Palewski of Utica; his niece Sarah Wellington of Barneveld; and his close friend Attorney Frank Policelli.

“Pete was my business partner. In our senior year of high school we started Bertlesman & Palewski painting contractors. The company stayed in business for the next 5 years. Pete and I would start the day at 7:30 am and work for 10 hours a day. He was a great partner, not afraid to work honest and loyal. They were fun years. Rest in peace my friend. Jim”
