He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Exum; his children, Haleem, Fatima, Jemel, Jemelia, Trish, Manley and Kahwima; his stepsons, Allen and Joseph; and his sister Mary Howard Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
