Madeja (Michael); his cousins, Donald, Robert Dybas, Ronald Gladwin, David Gladwin and Bernice Szablak; his godparents, Stanley Drobinski and Regina Dynak; his stepfather Raymond Palaka; and his friends, Sally B. Sexton, Rev. V. James Lauducci, S. J., Walt Dziwis, Terry Oczkowski, Jim Riccardi, Dick "Sonny" Styc and Burton "Bud" Ambrose.

He is survived by: his son Art Classes; his sisters, Shawn Bernadette Flynn and S. J.; his caregivers, Kevin Mathews, Mark Warfel, Molly Schug, Mark Hobaica, Mario Carrillo, Brian Gaffney, Gunnar Anderson, Jorge Ferreiro and Jon Pylman; his friends, Deborah, Cary Flack, Diane, Karen, Steve McElheny, Kim, Sam Rudolph, Mike, Mary Sexton, Elizabeth, Jamie Zalewski, Suzanne, Carey Grover, Arthur Nole, Janice Lutz, Mary Ann, Mary Jo Toomey, Bob and Sue Obernesser; his niece Emily Madeja; his great-niece Stella; his great-nephew Henry Mollenberg (Buffalo); his nephew Alex Madeja (Katie Sanoja); his cousins, Barbara Soohoo, Patricia Blake, Maria Schaper, Eileen Andrews, Carl and John Szablak; and also, Jude Mackay of Biscayne Park, FL, Arlene Winslow (Michael), Barbara Gladwin and Carol Docherty.

Our loves were brought together as colleagues 40 years ago as we worked to care for those for whom Catholic Charities was so important. For many years working closely with him, I was privileged to learn, first-hand of this smart, caring, funny, devout man. Paul could and did meet every human being where and as he found them. Our world is a better place from of the love, compassion and joy brought us all his life.”
