He was predeceased by: his parents, Fortunato Artessa and Maria Artessa (Greco). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sirianni; his son Mark Artessa (Betty Campese); his grandchildren, Leigh Ann and Lauren; his sister Betty Angerosa; his sister-in-law Mary Artessa; and his siblings, Angeline King, Rose (Charlie Duggleby), Katherine (Ray Poynter), Anthony (Ida Artessa), Frank "Hank" (Marion Artessa), Carmen Artessa, Thomas (Betty Artessa) and Joseph Artessa, Sr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
